Outstanding safety gel The specially developed safety gel with particularly good adhesive properties fills and equalises natural cracks in the skin and unevenness thus ensuring ideal contact between the skin and the neutral electrode. To achieve this, the gel is ideally distributed across the conductive foil, and this ensures even thermal conduction throughout the application.
Optimally conductive foil The conductive foil made from a polyester-aluminium laminate ensures a high degree of stability and adapts well to the patient’s physical shape when combined with the elasticity of the electrode. In addition, the low impedance of the conductive foil also prevents excessive heating. This has been confirmed by comprehensive tests: Neutralect Mini™ neutral electrodes were tested in accordance with ANSI/AAMI HF18-2001 (300 W, 120 sec.). Thermal images show the skin temperature rising by only about 1°C during the test, a value significantly below the standard (max. 6°C, 60 sec.).
Advantageous, compact shape The safety gel together with the conductive foil give the neutral electrode such a reduced size that it is even safe for use with children. Furthermore, the small size opens up a wider range options for placing the neutral electrode close the operating field.
Direction-independent placement Due to its square shape, the Neutralect Mini™ 2505M electrode no longer needs to be placed in a particular direction.
Excellent carrier material The liquid-impermeable carrier material made from polyethylene foam prevents the absorption of liquid from the gel and thus any impairment to the safety gel’s adhesive properties. In addition, the foam is a good insulator and serves to protect operating theatre staff.
