Moisture absorbing* The hygroscopic (water absorbing) effect of the glycerine gel enables moisture on the skin to be absorbed and securely enclosed in the gel structure. Therefore a moisture chamber cannot develop.
Antimicrobial effect* The dressing has a fungistatic and bacteriostatic effect: the growth of fungus and bacteria is blocked.
Semi-transparent Perfect appraisal of the puncture site.
Patient comfort The glycerine gel keeps the skin smooth. It supports the healing mechanisms and the barrier function of the skin. The dressing is very comfortable for the patient as it for example serves as padding and prevents clothing from getting caught on the Huber safety infusion cannula.
Optimal care Frequent changing of the dressing is not required due to the duration of usage of up to seven days. Referring to local protocols and CDC guidelines is recommended.

Dressing film
- Made of polyurethane (PU) with acrylate adhesive.
- Micro-perforated adhering film allows the skin to breath while at the same time prevents the penetration of moisture from the outside.
- Adjusts to body and movement of the patient.
Gel cushion
- Made of 99.7 % fully-synthetic glycerine gel.
- Semi-transparent: the transparent gel changes to an amber colour as a result of the radiation.
- The glycerine gel absorbs fluids.
