Horizontal and vertical cross-roller bearing The stable knife sliding action has unrivalled smoothness due to the horizontal cross-roller bearing. This results in less fatigue during daily use. The vertical object movement uses a cross-roller bearing system, is free from backlash and avoids vibration.
Quick release system for object clamps The newly developed quick release system for both the universal cassette clamp and the standard object clamp in connection with the object orientation system and the user-friendly rotatable knife holder allows a quick and uncomplicated approach of the object to the blade.
Infeed The section thickness can be set manually or automatically. The object coarse feed is controlled by the handwheel on the microtome.
Finger guard An integrated finger guard provides the required protection in the area of the knife/blade.
Easy to clean and maintain The microtome has an easy-to-clean anodised surface, within which the micrometer mechanism is fully protected. The integrated protection tray prevents contamination of the most important controls.

Fitting/removing the object clamp, orientable
To change the object clamp, loosen the clamping lever and remove it from the guide bore. Both adjusting screws have to be turned to the red marks. After that, the entire object clamp together with the adapter can be removed upwards. For fitting the object clamp, reverse the above procedure. Take care with the correct positioning of the guide bore in the adapter to allow reinsertion of the clamping lever.
