Horizontal and vertical cross-roller bearing system The stable knife sliding action has unrivalled smoothness, due to the horizontal cross-roller bearing. This results in less fatigue during daily use. The vertical object movement uses a cross-roller bearing system, is free from backlash and avoids vibration.
Infeed The object movement, trimming function and retraction are controlled by a low-noise stepping motor. Coarse and fine feed are controlled and adjusted by an integrated key pad in the front lateral working section of the microtome. This allows a safe and easy approach to position the object to the blade.
Memory function In addition to a memory function and a step counter, fixed reference points in the upper and lower cutting section make the positioning of the specimen easier.
Finger guard An integrated finger guard provides the required protection in the area of the knife/blade.
Easy to clean and maintain The microtome has an easy-to-clean anodised surface, within which the micrometer mechanism is fully protected in the enclosed housing. The integrated protection tray prevents contamination of the most important controls.
