pfm medical among the top ten most family-friendly medical and pharmaceutical companies in Germany
A healthy work-life balance is a priority at pfm medical ag. This was recently confirmed by a Germany-wide study carried out by the women's magazine freundin in collaboration with the online rating portal kununu. The search was on for the most family-friendly companies in Germany. In the medical and pharmaceutical industry, pfm medical ag was ranked 8th and was named a top employer for 2019.
“We are very proud of this result, especially as – much to our delight – it was based on employee feedback. We see this recognition as a joint success, only made possible by the contribution of each and every one of us,” Regina Wünsch, Vice President HR, OD & Legal Affairs, sums up the ranking. For pfm medical, the focus is always on the people – not only when it comes to medical devices, but also in the company itself. It is therefore a constant concern of the HR department to facilitate a healthy work-life balance and to help employees manage the balancing act between family and working life. The entries on kununu and the resulting ranking show that this has been well and truly achieved.
This was the fourth time this ranking was published. For the first time, however, a distinction was made between industries and the ten most family-friendly companies in Germany were identified for 20 different industries. The results of the evaluation were published in freundin issue 22 on 2 October 2019. In total, more than two million reviews of 175,000 companies in Germany were included in the study this year, which formed the basis for the ranking. Every German company with at least one rating since 1 January 2019 and a minimum number of 78 ratings on kununu.com had the opportunity to be included in the ranking. Current and former employees of all work groups, industries and career levels primarily evaluated family-friendly offerings such as flexible working hours, childcare and company pension schemes in addition to the work atmosphere, work-life balance, salary and equal rights. Other evaluation criteria were manager conduct, careers and further training as well as salary and social benefits. Media companies as well as companies belonging to the Burda Group (e.g. freundin, kununu, XING) were excluded from the survey.
