New Brand Identity Highlights Transformation into a Specialised, Integrated Partner in Medical Technology.

09/23/2026

pfmmedical gmbh presents its new brand identity at the 16th Congress of the German Association for Palliative Medicine (DGP) in Freiburg. The new branding reflects how the company has evolved from a product supplier to a specialised, integrated partner in medical technology.

“The new branding clearly reflects the significant shift that has taken place within our company over recent years. Today, as a manufacturer and partner we’re so much more than just the pure distributor we were at the beginning.
This is evident in our in-house development and manufacturing capabilities as well as in our close collaboration with clinical and scientific partners,” says Aurel Schoeller, Chief Executive Officer of pfm medical.

Since consolidating its subsidiaries and sales branches under the unified pfm medical brand in 2010, the group has grown into an internationally active medtech partner by pooling its focus areas and expertise. Today, the pfm medical group covers essential parts of the value chain by integrating research, development, manufacturing, sterilisation, logistics and service.

Sharpened Identity, Clear Perspective

The new branding conveys a brand identity that is built around the ambition to actively shape medical progress – pioneering the future of medicine. This is supported by the company’s long history of innovation and its patent portfolio that has grown over decades. Ole Kopitz, Managing Director of Sales & Marketing at pfm medical, specifies the ambition with a mission statement: improving quality of life, innovation by innovation, gives our ambition clear direction. We want to drive medical advancement to improve patient care and enhance quality of life.”

Innovation from Practice, for Practice

This commitment is evident in the continuous development of new solutions. Working closely with healthcare practitioners, clinical centres, and academic institutions, pfm medical translates care requirements into practical solutions – step by step. One example is NeoBreathe, a non-invasive ventilation valve for the care of premature infants and newborns undergoing CPAP therapy. It was developed in collaboration with healthcare practitioners and is being manufactured in Germany.

The partnership with ClearCut Medical Ltd. is another example of this approach. Established in 2018, it was further expanded in 2026 through the acquisition of a majority stake. The focal point is ClearCoast®, a technology for intraoperative resection margin assessment in tumour surgery. Following clinical trials in Germany and the UK and having obtained CE marking, it is now set for a broader rollout across Europe.

Both examples represent solutions born out of specific clinical demands that improve quality of life.

From Brand Core to Brand Identity
Cologne-based strategy consultancy Valoress supported pfm medical over two years on its journey towards a brand-led corporate management and a sharpened market positioning that represents its growing ambitions. As lead agency, palmerhargreaves was responsible for translating this positioning into the new brand identity.
Following the soft launch at the DGP Congress, the new branding will be rolled out internationally in phases over the coming mont
