The Nit-Occlud® PDA occlusion system is designed for the safe and atraumatic occlusion of the congenital heart defect PDA (persistent ductus arteriosus). Three different types and a broad variety of sizes make the unique spiral-shaped occlusion device the ideal choice for the closure of almost PDA types and sizes.

Safe closure
The unique spiral shape enables the coil to be applied accurately and without trauma while simultaneously ensuring a closure of all PDAThe ductus arteriosus connects the aorta with the pulmonary artery. While this connection ensures the blood circulation in the unborn, it usually closes shortly after birth… types and sizes up to 6 mm in diameter.

Easy to use
The specially developed application system is easy to use. It is inserted by means of a 4–5 F implantation catheter. The occluder can be repositioned as necessary until the coil is released.
